Support & Training

Quality Central is scientists supporting scientists. We offer a cooperative approach to implementing Quality Assurance (QA). We provide the tools needed to create, integrate, and execute a plan for your program that will demonstrate its ability to meet quality standards, provide world service, and promote scientific excellence. The mission of Quality Central is to provide training to help programs develop, implement, and maintain high-quality educational, service, and research initiatives through the integration of QA best practices.

Quality Assurance Programs generally consist of the following elements:

  1. A Quality Manual, which documents the organizational quality commitment and the quality goals (requirements) to be met throughout the conduct of the activity.
  2. Documented standard policies and procedures to meet the established quality goals.
  3. Internal monitoring procedures that compare explicit, measurable quality goals against the activity processes and outcomes. This comparison is used to find and correct errors, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure consistent performance over time.

These elements can be designed for any program that seeks to ensure consistent and reliable outcomes.

Training

Quality Assurance Training Programs are targeted to meet the needs of groups that provide scientific services (e.g., Diagnostic Laboratory Quality Assurance) or conduct scientific research (Research Quality Assurance). In addition, Quality Assurance training programs can be designed to support educational teams that want to integrate QA best practices into their systematic delivery of educational programs across multiple settings.
