Dr. Galaxia Cortés-Hinojosa is a veterinarian with interests in evolution, pathogen discovery and conservation medicine. She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Florida’s Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences. Her research interests include phylogenomic approaches to the biology, epidemiology, and evolution of emerging pathogens, as well as the effect of diseases in wild populations. Dr. Cortés-Hinojosa has had extensive experience working with small and exotic animals around the world.

As a U of M sponsored event this seminar may be used for CE credit per Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine guidelines.
