Tania Tavata Meneses Hernández, DVM, MPH

Tania Tavata is originally from Ciudad de México, México, where she received her DVM degree from the Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia (FMVZ), Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in 2017. After graduation, she worked on research projects with the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at the FMVZ-UNAM, related with food safety and Good Practices in livestock production. Driven by the impact and scope of her research conclusions, she graduated from the Master of Public Health program at the Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública-Escuela de Salud Pública de México with a concentration in Infectious Diseases in 2021. She continued to collaborate in multidisciplinary groups in the Mexican government, mainly focused in the prevention and management of brucellosis and tuberculosis. Her professional interests include the prevention and management of diseases, the One Health approach, and continuous work across different sectors.
