Welcome our new Residency Director, Melinda Wilkins

Join us in welcoming a new member to our CAHFS team, Melinda Wilkins, DVM, MPH, PhD, ACVPM. She will be the Veterinary Public Health and Preventative Medicine Residency Director. Under her leadership, she ensures the successful implementation of the program, guaranteeing the progression of VPHPM residents and meeting competencies.

Grant Awarded for ProgRESSVet East Africa Program

CAHFS has been awarded a $ 4.99 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support veterinary capacity-building in East Africa. This grant continues a program launched in 2020 with cohorts from Uganda and Kenya. The program’s goal is to support veterinary service professionals in excelling and contributing to national economic development through their daily work.
